New challenge explores alternative tracking technology

A new tech challenge has been launched by our Co-Creation team, looking for tracking solutions to use when satellite systems aren’t available.
The team is inviting applications for a 12-week, funded challenge which asks applicants to develop and demonstrate alternative positioning, navigation and timing (PNT) technology.
When systems such as GPS cannot be used, for example in some remote or hostile locations, another method is needed to help track government staff - wherever they are in the world.
The device being sought should be as small in size, weight and power as possible.
This is the latest challenge released by HMGCC Co-Creation, which takes national security’s toughest challenges and invites industry and academia to work with us to solve them.
