Challenge launched to cut forensics contamination risk in labs

Applicants from across industries, academia or science disciplines are invited to apply for HMGCC Co-Creation’s latest challenge - seeking techniques to decontaminate forensics lab tools.

The team is looking for ways to effectively clean biological traces such as DNA from tools and surfaces, to reduce the chance of cross-contamination.

This 12-week funded challenge will focus on exploring new and existing techniques to thoroughly remove these traces from lab items.

We welcome applicants not only from science disciplines, but from other parts of industry or academia, where these deep cleaning abilities are already being developed.

The closing date for applications is 18 September. To find out more, and for a full list of latest challenges, see: HMGCC Co-Creation Security Challenges
