Work with us
Innovation is everywhere, from newest start-ups to established primes; from research lab discoveries to the ambitions of modern-day inventors.
Innovators across the UK, from many different sectors, now have opportunities to work closely with HMGCC, to help deliver projects in support of national security. Living in an era of unprecedented technological advances, we need to work more broadly to stay ahead of our adversaries.
Using our expertise and world-class facilities, we have decades of experience in crafting tech solutions from concept to reality. We are now perfectly positioned to bring together industry, academia and government, to work collaboratively on national security engineering challenges.
About Co-Creation
HMGCC Co-Creation is a way in which industry tech experts and academics can apply to help work with us on national security challenges.
How does it work? We publish a regular stream of thought-provoking challenges, ranging from AI through to cyber security. Organisations can visit this website to find out more about these latest published problems, sign up to our portal and apply to take part.

Co-Creation challenges
HMGCC Co-Creation takes the tech challenges at the heart of national security problems to share with innovators in the wider world.
Our challenges represent some of the toughest problems that need to be solved, to help support the work of national security organisations, including the intelligence community.
Getting involved means you will receive funding for developing ideas and you will benefit from the experts and facilities HMGCC has to offer – as well as delivering work which could prove vital to keeping the UK safe. Our current challenges are listed on the Co-Creation challenges portal.

How we work
When we work with outside organisations, their experience of working with us is something we carefully consider.
From the retention of IP ownership with companies, to a streamlined contracting process, we are about constantly evolving the practice of bringing government and the private sector together in simple and productive collaboration.
Through our work we are building a technology ecosystem of organisations from a huge array of sectors, bringing diversity of thought and the latest technological discoveries into service for the national security community.

Inviting innovation
At HMGCC we want to create more opportunities for innovators to work with national security.
We have launched a Top 10 technologies campaign to invite industry and academia to share technologies with us they believe could be useful to national security. Find out more about the 10 core technologies we are currently focusing on.
