HMGCC launches 2027 Manufacturing Apprenticeship scheme
HMGCC has today launched applications for its 2027 apprenticeship scheme, offering aspiring engineers the chance to build a career at the heart of the UK's national security.
The Level 4 Engineering Manufacturing Technician apprenticeship leads to a nationally recognised qualification with an embedded HNC in Engineering.
As a Manufacturing Apprentice, you'll learn new skills and gain hands-on experience in a purpose-built advanced manufacturing facility with cutting-edge technology, working across a variety of placements supported by experienced supervisors. You'll be helping to manufacture products that play an integral part in protecting national security, learning on the job while completing structured training with a specialist provider.
Throughout the programme, you'll get involved in real projects from day one, gaining hands-on experience through supervised work placements and customer projects, while also receiving paid membership with a professional organisation such as the Institution of Engineering and Technology.
One of our former apprentices described the impact of the scheme:
"I have found community, technology and a life-long career through the apprenticeship. I've explored a whole new world that not many people get to immerse in."
